Emilys School Art Project

Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.3

Emily is in a new school this year - Lutheran School. She has always been very artistic and this proves this. For this school project she was to cut a picture in half and then draw, freehand, the right hand side of the picture. I may be biased, but I do think she did a wonderful job!! :)

Where I sit, the dogs are all there. Tonight I was at the dining room table working when I looked down and saw all three dogs at my feet sleeping. Here is a picture of Abby sleeping. And yes....she needs to be groomed! :/ September 11, 2010

Swimming at Aunt Debbie's

TK - ILTB - August 30, 2010

The kids had a half day of school on the 30th, so we met Scott for lunch at the Toby Keith - I Love This Bar restaurant in Auburn Hills. Momma got her Toby fix and the kids got to eat! The best of both worlds! :)

First Day of School - 2010

Here are pictures of the kids on their first day of school. Don't they look happy?!?!? I can tell you, Momma is happy that we are now back on a schedule!

Rose of Sharon - Summer 2010

We have two Rose of Sharon bushes in our backyard. The Rose of Sharon is the official flower of South Korea. Emily picked this plant out 7 years ago when we moved into our new home and when she liked pink!

The West Boys and Al Kaline - August 14, 2010

Scott took Jacob and Austin to see Al Kaline (former Detroit Tigers baseball player). Jacob was so excited to meet him. As you can see, my Austin wore his Cardinals shirt and hat - HA!

Springfield, Illinois

Emily standing next to Lincoln's seat, with his hat and cap on chair.

And no trip is complete to Illinois without visiting a Lincoln site. On this trip, we went to the old State Capitol building, where Abraham Lincoln served his last term as a State Legislator.

Visiting Family in Jacksonville, Illinois

Emily and Uncle Ron Rynders (Ron is my Mom's baby brother)

On the 9th of August, Emily and I headed to Jacksonville to spend time with Mom's side of the family. We really need to get back down more often!!

Family Reunion 2010

Emily and cousin beating a dead catfish with a stick. Why, I have no idea!!

Clarence and Beulah Lair's children. Ernie Mountjoy is the first person - our lost family member and a cousin. We are SO happy to have found him!!! Missing is Aunt Betty, who lives in Arizona.

On August 7th, we had our annual Lair family reunion near Springfield, Illinois. We had a great turnout with plenty of delicious food! :)

Achievement Day: Daughter-Dad Ice Cream Social

Tonight, July 29th, the Ward had the Achievement Day's Daughter-Dad Ice Cream Social. This is a picture of Scott and Emily. Scott is growing a beard - I think trying to look more like Toby Keith! HA!

Appa Son/Daughter Days

Each month Scott will take the kids out for a special day or trip- he calls these "Appa-Son" or Appa-Daughter" days. The kids look forward to these little outings with their Dad. The last few have sent Jacob to Cedar Pointe; Austin to the Court-Yard hotel in Utica to swim and time at Dave and Busters to play games; and Emily hiking in Oakland Twp with a stop at Dairy Queen.
