A Post From Emily - July 8, 2009

I'm so busy this summer and I'm not glad school is over though. Who does not like school??? I
can't wait till next year. This summer I am playing with the new puppies which are now eight
months old. Today Bailey went to the other side of the fence and ran far away. Mom was in her
pajamas running past the fence running two neighbors away and caught Bailey. Bailey might of
chased a rabbit. We don't know. Well anyways we are just busy and you might of noticed that
I was wearing my Betsy Ross dress for Independence day. Betsy Ross sewed the American
flag if you don't know her. This is July and it is so hot outside. I am thinking about going to the
beach this summer. I want to collect some some shells like last time I collected about ninety-
three shells. Yeah, that is a lot of shells!

Happy 4th of July!!

Yes, Emily is in her "Betsy Ross" dress that I made for last year's school play; Austin is in pajama's (yes, he is always in his pajamas) and Jacob missing. Jacob was stubborn and would not help set the table, so he was sent to his room without fun.

Stoney Creek Park - June 23, 2009

We took a mini-hike and had a picnic at Stoney Creek. It was a nice hike; Jacob didn't have a meltdown (WOOHOO) and we ran into a couple from Scotland, who was thrilled to see Kenny - the scottish terrier.

Camping - June 2009

During the last weekend in June, I took the kids camping. Jacob stayed home with Scott and I took Emily and Austin to the Metamora State Park. We had fun!

Happy Birthday Austin!

Emily's Eye Surgery - June 18, 2009

Today was Emily's eye surgery for her lazy left eye. We drove down to Children's Hospital in Detroit and arrived around 11:45am. I walked down to the operating room with her at 2:45pm and we left at 6:10pm. It was a long day, but Emily did wonderful. When she got home she wanted to eat (mac and cheese) and wanted to dance. :) Yeah, she is feeling better!!!!

The picture above is Emily at the hospital waiting to go into surgery. No, she isn't sleeping - she is watching the Disney Channel. :) See, even "Snowflake" the polar bear went into the hospital too!

And, while we were there we ran into a family from the kids school. Their daughter was having the same surgery, same doctor, same day, same place! She did awesome too with the surgery!! Yes, it is a small world!!

Molly Would Be Proud!

Molly would ONLY lay on a pillow. Tonight, Abby was following Molly's example. Here are a couple cute pictures of Abby on Molly's old pillow.

Jacob and Scott at the Detroit Tigers Baseball Game - June 3, 2009

Scott got free tickets to sit in the Northwest Airlines suite at Comerica Park to see the Boston Red Sox play against Detroit Tigers. Needless to say, the Red Sox beat the Tigers. Not surprising, eh?

At least Jacob got to see a baseball game. For whatever reason, Jacob loves baseball. It looks like he had fun, along with Scott.

The furkids at the door - Bailey, Abby and Kenny (in the back). Notice they are going thru the doorwall and NOT the doggy door?

Field Trip to Upland Farms

The KGA kindergarten and jr. kindergarten class went to Upland Farms in Addison Twp, MI. The kids had a great time seeing the animals. We went on a hay ride, hiked thru the Storybook Forest and saw the farm show. A very fun time!

Scott's birthday - Abby, Molly, Austin and Bailey

The first day home!! Kenny, Abby, Austin, Bailey and Emily. The girls love their big yard!!!!

Yes, you read right - two puppies. I couldn't decide which one, so I bought two. They are too cute, but a handful. Both parents are Champions. Not only are the girls beautiful, they are also very sweet. We are still working on potty training, but they settled in quickly and love their big siblings - Jacob, Emily, Austin and Kenny!!

School Play and New Puppy

The loss of Molly has been very hard on our family. Poor Kenny isn't eating well and looks very sad. Not that getting a new puppy could ever replace our Molly, but I am hoping it can bring a little bit of happiness back into our lives. (For those of you reading this that are not animal lovers, you probably don't understand it - sorry). We did find a scottie puppy here in Michigan. We are going to go take a look on Sunday and we are all very excited. We will keep you posted!

Last night it was the kids school play. All I have to say is that EVERYONE did a fantastic job. I was especially proud of my three - Jacob, Emily and Austin. They remembered their lines and spoke clearly and loudly. YEAH! Austin was the horse to the prince in "Sleeping Beauty". Jacob was the 3 of clubs and Emily was the Queen of Hearts in "Alice in Wonderland". I will get those pictures off the camera and post a few in the coming days!

Austin's BOO-BOO

Yesterday, while I was at work, I received a call from the kids school saying that Austin had an accident. He was running on the playground, tripped and fell forehead first on the cement. We took him to urgent care. They removed a couple of good sized pebbles. Luckily, they have the "skin glue", so he didn't have to have stitches. WOOHOO!

Ok, this makes three "bad things" that have happened this week: 1) Jacob's tooth; 2) Molly's passing; 3) Austin's forehead. Does this mean that I can have a few "good days" now?!?!?!

Where ever the kids were, so was Molly. She would keep close to the kids. This picture is right after Jacob and Emily came home in 2001. In this picture, it is Molly and Emily (9 months old)
