Jacob's 12th Birthday

"It's Not Cold, MOM!!"

On our way home from Church on February 13th, my two youngest (Emmy and Austin) said it was spring time. They claim the weather was 48 degrees and it was time for them to go outside with shorts and no coats despite the 12 inches of snow laying on the ground. When we got home, they promptly changed their clothes and ran outside to play. Needless to say, they didn't stay outside too long!

Chef Austin

Austin has taken an interest in cooking, which is good since he loves to eat. Here he is getting the pan and eggs ready for his egg sandwich.

Jacob and Emily's Gotcha Day - February 2, 2011

On February 2, 2011, Jacob and Emily have been home from South Korea for 10 years. I really don't know how the time has flown so quickly. Since we were in the middle of "Blizzard 2011", I made an entire Korean meal at home. The kids loved it and even had leftovers on the following day, since they were home for a snow day.

We not only have a Korean dinner, but they receive a gift. Jacob did not want to be photographed, but did receive a third Wii remote (which he asked for). Emily received a Pillow Pet. =)

A Posting From Emily - February 3, 2011

Howdy! (Forget it, I say it all of the time.) OK, today is any other normal day you could ever imagine. Except with all the snow, we had two snowdays in a row. Great, right? Yesterday and today.

School is great, so much going on. Glad to hear? I'm in Mr. Bauer's class: 6th grade, and Jacob is in Mr. Frobel's class: 7th grade. Austin is in 2nd grade now with Mr. Shaffer. I have so many subjects and teachers I can't name them all: Mr. Grothaus, Mr. Frobel, Mrs. Leider, Mrs. Klein, Mr. Ebbole, Mrs. Dunneback, (Senora Dunneback) and...uh...Mr. Bauer. Middle school is so much harder than elementary school!

If no one has ever told you, I'm going to Lutheran High Northwest. (LHNW) So is Austin and Jacob. I apparently decided that I want to go to Stanford in California for college when I grow up to become either an author or an artist. Which do you think I should be? I think I would better off be an author rather than an artist, well, maybe vise versa.

Enough with the future! Speaking of future, our school won 1st place in the Future City competition. GO EAGLES!!! (That is our school mascot). No sports news with me. You'd have to ask Jacob about that. Bye! Gotta go eat lunch.
