Christmas Outfits 2010
This year I made Emily's Christmas dress. Austin tolerated it and Jacob *hated* the tie and the picture taken! Oh well...he should know his Mom by now - pictures and new outfits for the holidays!
Christmas Eve 2010
Every Christmas Eve we open present's with Aunt Debbie, open their Christmas jammies, find the Christmas pickle on the tree and eat potato soup for dinner. This year we made a stop at the Royal Park Hotel to see the HUGE gingerbread house. :)
Austin's Loses First Baby Tooth
Austin finally lost his first baby tooth. He was so excited that he wrote a letter to the tooth fairy. Of course, the tooth fairy responded back via a note done in gold glitter.

Gingerbread House 2010
Another family tradition - making a gingerbread house! Scott started this tradition a few years ago and the kids love it!! I think they like eating the candy more than the actual making of the house! HA! December 12, 2010
Another Branch Blunder
Ok...no photos in this post, just a vent!!
I found out last week that Emily's baptism was NEVER recorded in the Branch. Folks, her baptism happened almost THREE years ago on May 10, 2008. Not only did it take the Branch over 1 year to record Austin's blessing in 2004; then we have the "forgot" to transfers Jacob scouting records to the Ward in 2008 (after the Scout charter in the Branch was dissolved) and now we have the "forgotten baptism of 2008".
If you are not familiar with the LDS Church, we are supposed to be a "record keeping people" - you know with the push on genealogy? So why in the world would an unit forget to record something as important as a baptism or a blessing?
All I can say..."STRIKE THREE, YOU'RE OUT" and thank goodness our records are now in the Ward!
NOTE: A Branch is a very small unit in the Latter-day Saint Church (Mormon) and a Ward is a bigger unit - aka congregation.

Cookie Baking - December 11, 2010
We make Christmas cookies every year and this year is no exception. Even Jacob helped with the process. We made 7 different kinds with a total of 42 dozen cookies.
Austin and Cub Scouts - December 9, 2010
On December 9, 2010 was Austin's Cub Scout pack meeting. He received a few awards and patches. I am so happy that he is loving being a "Wolf"!! :)
Decorating the Christmas Tree 2010
The day after Thanksgiving is our day to decorate the Christmas tree. Each year it seems the kids are getting more and more involved. If only I could get them that involved when it is time to take the tree down! HA!
Thanksgiving 2010
Thanksgiving was at our house this year. Aunt Debbie came over and helped peeled the potatoes and Emily danced. Amah, Papa and Uncle Mark joined us too!
